Tha Roots
Before brands like Ice Cream and Bape came to tha light, dudes wuz wearin miami heat jerseys with fubu jean shorts and worn down reeboks wit tha straps. Not to mention tha way they wore 6x red t-shirts with a pair of long paco jeans tucked inside their socks, inside a pair of all white air forces with red laces to match tha shirt. With brands like 10 Deep, The Hundreds, Play Cloths and etc. rising in popularity we have artists like Kanye West, Pharrell and Curren$y to thank for our dress code evolution. Before I started skatin I wuz only rockin Scifen and LRG fit and strictly jordans; I looked in my closet earlier today and it wuz filled with Nike SB Dunks skinny jeans and Zoo York v-necks. But all of that didn't get me thinkin, it wuz my skateboard that made me start wonderin "how in tha hell did I get into this?" Then it came to me... Tha Cream team. I owe most of it to tha Ice Cream skate team. As a matter of a fact we all do. I remember when bape sneakers dropped back when I was in tha 8th grade everybody thought they wuz bootleg Nikes[myself not included] and used to clown anybody who wore em. But by tha time I made it to 9th grade, everybody and they mama had a pair of Bapes. Especially those Batman Bapes. And thatz when everybody changed how they dressed. If it wuznt for Bathen ape jackets and Ice Cream tennis shoes u would probably still be wearin those jerseys that died out with Master P and his P miller clothing effort. We all owe a token to Bape and Ice cream so don't forget ur rootz. Throw a Bape picture up on ur Facebook or a Ice Cream layout on ur myspace to show ur gratitude.
